To provide a scan type cell measuring apparatus which can efficiently and accurately sample individual cells or intracellular substances within a specified data region.
A light beam is focused on a group sample 7 of cells by an objective lens 6 of a microscope to perform a two dimensional scanning. Fluorescence, reflected light or transmitted light from the cells excited by the light beam is detected by a detector to pick up a scan image data formed by a photoelectric signal detected and the amounts of intracellular components of the individual cells in the group sample 7 of the cells are measured quantitatively by an image processing for the scan image data. In a san type cell measuring apparatus of such a type, a computer 90 is employed to determine a coordinate position data of the cells based on the scan image data of the cells in the group sample 7 of the cells and a finely operating means is provided using a manipulating needle 31 for manipulating or marking the individual cells or the intracellular substances to control a positional relationship between each cell and the manipulating needle 31 based on the coordinate position data.
