Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject new compound complex as a specific scandium- perfluoroalkanesulfonylimide complex, extremely high in catalytic activity in an acylation reaction of an alcohol with a carboxylic acid anhydride.
SOLUTION: This scandium-perfluoroalkanesulfonylimide complex is shown by formula I [Tf1 is a group of the formula SO2Rf1 (Rf1 is F or a lower perfluoroalkyl); Tf1 is a group of the formula SO2Rf2 (Rf2 is as shown for Rf1); R is a lower alkyl; 1≤p≤3; 0≤m≤9; 0<n≤2; 3≤p+m+n≤12] and is a highly active catalyst in an acylation reaction of an alcohol with a carboxylic acid anhydride. The compound is obtained by reacting a scandium carboxylate with a perfluoroalkanesulfonylimic acid in water as a solvent.
