PURPOSE: To reproduce a visually satisfactory picture by a reproducing device by using two image sensors which convert a picture signal to an electric signal and providing an ND filter on the optical path of one image sensor.

CONSTITUTION: A first image sensor 1 and a second image sensor 2 are attached to a step driving device 3, and an ND filter (density filter) 4 provided closely to the second image sensor 2 attenuates the quantity of visible light to, for example, 1/10 in all bands. Since the ND filter is provided on the optical path of the image sensor for highlight light in this manner, a normal light area is converted with a high sensitivity by the image sensor for normal light, and the highlight part extending to the saturation area of the image sensor for normal light is converted by the image sensor provided with the ND filter without extending to the saturation area. Thus, the exposure which is wide-range as the whole is converted to an electric signal without losing picture information.
