To reduce the occupied area on a desk and to automatically supply paper for plural pages by constituting a scanner in the form of rotatable prism so as to supply paper at its upper or lower part.

A sheet paper supply scanner 10 is prism-shaped and has a paper supply slot 12 having a document holding tray 16 for holding plural documents 18 during automatic paper supply operation and a document outlet slot 14 on the same side. While the scanner 10 is positioned as shown in the figure, a user enables automatic paper supply operation for plural pages. On the other hand, a power cable connecting part 20 and a computer port connecting part 22 are installed at one end 24 of the scanner 10, and the rotation of the scanner position is facilitated. When this scanner 10 is rotated so that the paper supply slot 12 is positioned at the lower part closer to the surface of the desk and the document outlet slot 14 is positioned at the upper part away from the surface of the desk, the documents are supplied to the paper supply slot 12 one by one and ejected from the document outlet slot 14.
