Title:
SCANNING LINE CONVERSION DEVICE AND FLICKER REMOVING DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3418558
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To visually reduce flickers, to suppress the deterioration of resolution in a vertical direction and to read a fine character on a display by interpolating a pixel in the vertical direction with an adjacent upper or lower pixel and restricting a band in the vertical direction at the time of enlarging a screen when a non-interlaced image is converted into an interlaced image.
SOLUTION: In enlargement display mode, a memory control circuit 92 sets a screen enlargement range, based on screen enlargement position information from an input terminal 90 and outputs an enlargement display mode signal to a flicker removing circuit 91. The flicker removing circuit 91 outputs a Y-signal which is interpolated in the vertical direction of first and second fields. At interpolating of the pixel in the vertical direction of the Y-signal, the video signal of the second field is interpolated with the video signal similarly to that of the first field, and the band in the vertical direction is restricted by a vertical low-pass filter. Thus, flicker components is removed and the signal is outputted. As a result, the deterioration of resolution and the occurrence of the flickers can be suppressed.
