Title:
SCANNING SUSPENSION COMPRISING PARTICLE WITH DIAMETER OF AT LEAST 1 MICROMETER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2011068667
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a scanning suspension comprising a particle having a diameter of at least 1 μm and capable of disturbing a magnetic field at least partly, and the use thereof for obtaining a scanning image.

Preferably, the particle comprises holmium and a composition capable of essentially maintaining its structure during irradiation. The particle is suitable for preparing a kit of parts, comprising a diagnostic composition and a therapeutic composition, both of which comprise the particles with essentially the same chemical structure, wherein the therapeutic composition is more radioactive than the diagnostic composition. The kit of parts is especially suitable for treatment of tumor. Firstly, the distribution of the particles within an individual can be determined with a scanning image obtained with a scanning composition. Subsequently, a radioactive therapeutic composition can be administered, wherein a suitable dose of the therapeutic composition is derived from the scanning image.
