To prevent scattering of glass even for a rather thin glass or a glass having complicated form by controlling the film thickness of a resin layer applied on the surface of the glass and the thickness of the glass to a specified ratio.
The film thickness (h1) of a resin coating layer and the thickness (h2) of a glass are controlled to satisfy 0.1≥h1/h2≥0.005. As for the glass can be used as a float glass, mirror, sheet glass, mesh glass, bottle and illuminating device. An adhesive layer 2 is formed between the glass 1 and the resin splash preventing layer 3, and the adhesive layer 2 is selected from a butyral resin, acryl resin, epoxy resin or the like having high adhesion strength to the glass, or from a surface modifying agent such as a silane coupling agent. As for the scattering preventing layer 3, the compd. of the adhesive layer or a polycarbonate is used, and especially a silicone resin or a fluorine-contg. resin is preferably used. Moreover, a resin having dispersion of colloidal silica or silicon fine particles is used as an overcoat layer 4. A silicone oil is preferably incorporated into the coating layers above-described.
