Abstract:
PURPOSE: To heighten primary compression ratio, increase charging efficiency in scavenging, and improve engine performance by reciprocating a plunger in addition to reciprocating motion of a piston.
CONSTITUTION: A plunger 13 energized downward by means of a spring 12 is installed on the underside of a scavenging passage 11 leading to a cylinder 7 from a crank chamber 4 so as to be movable in sliding. A cam wheel 15 is fixed on a crank shaft 2 on the underside of this plunger 13, and in the case of starting scavenging, the plunger 13 is pushed up by means of the cam wheel 15, so that scavenging pressure can be increased.
