Title:
HUMAN-TRACKING SPOT AIR CONDITIONER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3166249
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a human-tracking spot air conditioner, capable of obtaining comfortable air conditioning feeling even when there is a complicated background.
CONSTITUTION: An air outlet duct 3 is supported pivotably on the main body 1 of a device and ultrasonic sensors 10, 11 are fixed to the duct 3 while the duct 3 is pivoted by an air outlet port pivoting motor. A microcomputer directs an air outlet port 3a toward a man by locating a man in the superposed area of the detecting areas of the ultrasonic sensors 10, 11, which is produced in accordance with the pivoting of the ultrasonic sensors 10, 11, in an area nearer than a stored background. When only one sensor of the sensors 10, 11 has detected a man in accordance with the pivoting of the sensors 10, 11, the microcomputer compares the detecting distance of the man with the background distance of the other ultrasonic sensor. When the detecting distance of the man is larger, the pivoting of the air outlet port 3a is stopped.
