Abstract:

PURPOSE: To effectively position a scissor blade, and polish the blade surface of the scissors simply, quickly and accurately by supporting the polishing surface of a disc type rotary polishing means on a magnetic surface for polishing the scissor blade.
CONSTITUTION: A motor 22 is installed on a base plate in a box 60, and a polishing disc 23 is fixed to the spindle. The polishing disc 23 is enclosed with a cover 24 having a spring mechanism 25, and the terminal end of the spring mechanism 25 reaches the position directly opposite to the polishing surface at a part of the magnet surface 26. Further, a scissor blade 27 is disposed on the magnet surface 26, and moved toward the polishing disc 23 to lift up a lower leaf spring 28 of the spring mechanism 25. As the blade surface 29 of the scissor blade 27 comes into contact with the polishing disc 23, the blade surface 29 moves the polishing disc 23 against the energizing force of an armature 30 of the motor 22. A stop part integrated with the cover 24 opposite to a magnet 33 regulates the movement of the blade surface 29 to be positioned.
