To provide scissors having reduced possibility of unintentional rotation of a pivot portion, and reduced possibility of a pain at the finger tip or damage of the skin even if the scissors are used while applying the finger to the pivot portion.

In scissors 1, a pair of scissor pieces 11 and 12 are assembled by a pivot portion formed by thread-engagement of a bolt 20 and a nut 30. The pivot portion includes: the bolt including a head portion 21 formed with a recessed portion 25 engaging with a tool, and a shank portion 22 extending from the head portion and formed with male threads on the outer peripheral surface; and the nut including a cylindrical portion 32 having an inner peripheral surface formed with female threads threadedly engaging with the male threads. The pivot portion includes: a bottom surface portion 41 provided with a through-hole portion 45 having a diameter larger than that of a shank portion and smaller than that of the head portion; and a sleeve 40 rising from the outer peripheral edge of the bottom surface portion and having a side surface portion 42 having an inner periphery having a diameter larger than that of the head portion. The sleeve has a side surface portion surrounding the head portion while the shank portion is inserted into the through-hole portion and the bottom surface portion is interposed between the head portion and one scissor piece 11, and the upper end edge of the side surface portion is positioned higher than the head portion.
