In the scooter type vehicle in (a), an opening 84L is provided along a connection line between a front side cover 45L and a step floor 52L, a windscreen plate 68L is slidably inserted into the opening 84L, and a position adjusting mechanism 67L in which the windscreen plate 68L is movable from a storage position to a deployed position is provided. Since the most part of the windscreen plate 68L is arranged inside the front side cover 45L and the step floor 52L, the windscreen plate 68L is not an appearance component. Therefore, a surface treatment or the like can be omitted. Also, as the windscreen plate 68L is slidable, the storage position and the deployed position of the windscreen plate 68L can be set with a simple structure.
