To provide a scotch yoke mechanism for a multicylinder compressor increasing the strength of a plate and made easy to be subjected to grinding working.
A recess part 5b is provided on an inner wall surface of a block 5a constructing a yoke 4, step parts 5d are provided on both end parts of the recess part 5b, and a rectangular recess part 5c is provided on a bottom surface of the recess part 5b in the scotch yoke mechanism built in the multicylinder compressor. A plate 17 is composed of a bottom surface part 17a, a rising piece 17b provided on both side parts of the bottom surface part 17a, and an engagement projection part 17c provided below the bottom surface part 17a. A retention part of a cage 16 surrounded by the rising piece 17b and the step part 5d is constructed by fitting the plate 17 to the recess parts 5b, 5c of the block 5a. A plurality of springs 19 are put in the block 5a and the springs energize the plate 17 to make the cage 16 abut on a side surface of a cross slider 15 by appropriate pressure.
