Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a scouring agent for fiber having excellent scouring activity and free from the danger of environmental hormone activity by using a nonionic surfactant containing a specific aliphatic alcohol alkylene oxide adduct having a narrow molecular weight distribution.
SOLUTION: This nonionic surfactant contains the following aliphatic alcohol alkylene oxide: one or more kinds of compounds expressed by RO[(C2H4O)m/(AO)n] (C2H4O)pH (R is a 8-24C hydrocarbon; A is a 3-8C alkylene; m is 0 or an integer of 1-4; n is an integer of 1-3; and p is an integer of 1-80); the equation of Mw/Mn≤0.30×Ln(V)+1.010 (V<10) or Mw/Mn≤-0.026×Ln(V)+1.139 (V≥10) is satisfied, herein Mw is a weight average molecular weight, Mn is a number average molecular weight and V is an average added mol number of an alkylene oxide; C expressed by the following equation is ≤1.0, that is, C=(V+n0/m00)/[Ln(n00/n0)+n0/n00-1] (n00 is a mol number of an aliphatic alcohol; n0 is a mol number of the unreacted portion of the above alcohol).
