PURPOSE: To provide a scrap holding device in a cutter which can position and hold a scrap always in a specific attitude and at a specified position in either case of right-angled cutting and angle cutting with a simple constitution.

CONSTITUTION: Material W to be cut is cut by a cutting tool in the state of being clamp-fixed onto a bed 4 by at least one stock vice formed of a fixed jaw 11 and a moving jaw 12 that can approach/separate opposedly to the fixed jaw 11. In such a cutter, the fixed jaw 11 side of the stock vice is provided with a keep member 31 protruding onto the moving jaw 12 side from the clamping face G of the fixed jaw 11 and vertically slidable, and vertical moving mechanism (a pressing bar and the like) for moving the keep member 31 vertically by the driving of an actuator 34; and the end part of the material can be vertically clamped between the keep member 31 and the bed 4.
