To provide a scrape-up apparatus for scraping up grit and sludge staying at the bottom of a settling basin.
This scrape-up apparatus for grit and sludge is provided with a truck capable of moving back and forth with a traveling wheel laid along a guide rail disposed above the bottom wall of a treated basin such as settling basin, or sedimentation basin and laid rectilinearly, a scraper fitted to the lower part of a scraper arm supported to rotate round the shaft center in the direction intersecting perpendicularly to the direction of moving back and forth, and a traction transmitting means such as a wire rope provided to freely perform reciprocating tractive operation in the above direction of moving back and forth and capable of moving the scraper up and down through a sheave provided on the truck, wherein a one-way scraper for scraping up grit and sludge staying at the bottom of the treated basin in one direction by moving below the grit and sludge at its scrape-up attitude is returned in the reverse direction at its lift-up attitude. The sheave is disposed coaxially around the shaft center of the traveling wheel.
