PURPOSE: To reduce friction hence eliminate the entry of metal powder in the mixture and make possible the long-time operation of the mixer by making the end of scraping vanes by mineral material of extremely high hardness, e.g., high-alumina- base ceramics.

CONSTITUTION: For example, the body 1 of the mixer which mixes and processes ceramic powder and granules by adding water thereto is constituted by the above as well as lower barrels 2 and 3. Scraping blades 11 are provided below the milling plate 10 mounted to the revolving shaft 9 in a mixing chamber 7 and a plurality of pins 12 and scraping vanes 13 are mounted to the top of this plate 10. The materials to be mixed are mixed by the plate 10 in the chamber 7 and the mixture is taken out from the blades 11 past the exhaust port 19 of the lower barrel 3. Next, these vanes 13, 14 are made of not metal material but, e.g., ceramics of high alumina base at the entire part of the vanes or part thereof. In this way, the long- term operation of this type of mixers becomes feasible and the life thereof is considerably improved.
