PURPOSE: To prevent a cursor from being missed even if display devices are detached or the sizes of the display devices differ by displaying an area corresponding to the other display screen on one display screen at the time of moving the cursor on plural display screens.
CONSTITUTION: The cursor is displayed on a display device 16. The cursor is moved by using a mouse 11, and it is moved to the icon display area corresponding to a display device 17. When the cursor moves to the position of the icon display area, a system is switched to the icon display area corresponding to the display device 16 in the display device 17 so as to display data. A character and the cursor, which are displayed in the icon display area, are overlapped and displayed, and the character which is not hidden by the cursor is displayed as it is. Thus, it can be grasped to which display device the cursor moves or from which display device the cursor moves.
