Abstract:

PURPOSE: To accurately apply an overcoating material in fine width, in a screen printing plate consisting of gauze and an emulsion, by removing a part of the gauge of a mesh part through which ink passes at least at one or more place.

CONSTITUTION: A screen plate is constituted of gauze 5 and an emulsion 6 and, in screen printing, overcoat ink 8 is placed on the upper surface of the screen plate and the inner surface of the screen plate is pressed by a squeezee 9 to allow the ink 8 to pass through the ink passing area 7 only of the gauze 5 having no emulsion 6 to be transferred to an object 10 to be printed. Screen printing is used in order to coat a film carrier with the overcoating material. In this case, a part of the gauze 5 of the part 11 of the mesh part through which the ink 8 passes of the screen printing plate is removed at least at one or more place. By this constitution, the overcoating material is accurately applied in fine width of 300μm or less.
