To provide a screen printing method capable of preventing defective printing caused by curing of paste.
In the screen printing method constituted so as to slide a squeegee head 13 on a mask plate 12 while pressurizing the cream solder 5 stored in the hermetically closed type squeegee head 13 by a pressure plate 32 to print the cream solder 5 on a substrate through pattern apertures, the pressure plate 32 is pushed down by a cylinder 16 in such a state that the squeegee head 13 is positioned outside the range of the substrate 3 on the mask plate 12 to pressurize the cream solder 5. In this printing preparing process, the pressurizing force by the cylinder 16 is stepwise increased to a set value F0. By this constitution, the impact to the cream solder 5 at the time of pressurization is prevented to suppress the curing of the cream solder 5.
