Abstract:
To provide a method for regulating members of caspase family which are cell death proteases based on apoptosis inhibitor (IAP) protein.
Disclosed is a method for identifying a medicament regulating caspase inhibitory activity of the IAP protein, wherein the method comprises following steps: (a) bringing the caspase and the IAP into contact with a medicament speculated to be able to regulate the caspase inhibitory activity of the IAP in vitro, wherein the IAP inhibits the caspase activity; and (b) detecting caspase activity, wherein the medicament regulating the caspase activity of the IAP is identified by the caspase activity.
