Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To construct a screening system for exploring cosmetic raw materials or the like with a dermal barrier function regulating action.SOLUTION: Giving a stimulus from an exterior of the skin can find out a substance with an action which inhibits an expression of FATP4 genes of skin cells or the like, and a relation between damage from a dermal external stimulus and FATP4 genes can be revealed for the first time. According to this novel finding, a system for screening a dermal barrier function regulating agent is constructed by determining whether or not the substance has an action which increases the expression of the FATP4 gene.
