To provide a screenings cleaning and dehydrating device having high cleaning capacity capable of smoothly and reliably transporting, dehydrating and carrying out screenings and reducing the power cost.
The screenings cleaning and dehydrating device comprises a hopper with screenings thrown therein, a transport unit to transport the screenings thrown into the hopper by a transport screw conveyor, a cleaning unit to clean the screenings transported by the transport screw conveyor while transporting the screenings by a cleaning screw conveyor, and a dehydrating unit to dehydrate the screenings transported by the cleaning screw conveyor. The transport screw conveyor consists of a ribbon type screw conveyor having no center shaft. A shaft of the cleaning screw conveyor is passed through a center part of the ribbon type screw conveyor, and connected to a cleaning screw conveyor driving device to independently rotate the transport screw conveyor and the cleaning screw conveyor from each other.
