This screw compressor is provided with a motor 2 driving a compressor main body 3, an inverter 1 controlling rotation speed of the motor 2, a pressure sensor 7 detecting pressure of delivery air of the compressor main body 3, a rotation speed control device 8 controlling operation of the inverter 1 and regulating delivery air quantity of the compressor main body 3 based on pressure detection value of the pressure sensor 7, a delivery pressure establishment device 10 establishing delivery pressure establishment value which is a desired reference value of delivery air pressure delivered from the compressor main body 3, and a maximum revolution control device 9 defining the maximum revolution of the motor 2 according to the delivery pressure establishment value.
