Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a screw compressor capable of sealing a clearance gap of an engagement portion in adjacent to discharge-side end faces of male and female rotors remarkable in compressed fluid leakage phenomenon, in the engagement portion of the male and female rotors.SOLUTION: A screw compressor 1 includes a male rotor 2 and a female rotor 3 engaged with each other, a casing 4 accommodating the male rotor 2 and the female rotor 3, and a liquid supply passage 42 formed on the casing 4 so that a liquid is supplied from an external liquid supply source. The screw compressor 1 further includes: a first groove 50 formed on a discharge-side end face of, at least, one of the male rotor 2 and the female rotor 3, and communicated with tooth bottoms of the rotor 2; a second groove 51 formed on a face opposed to the discharge-side end face of the rotor 2 in the casing 4 and periodically communicated with the first groove 50; and a liquid supply hole 52 formed on the casing 4 so that the liquid supply passage 42 is communicated with the second groove 51.
