Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a screw compressor capable of showing high shaft seal performance even if a working fluid on a discharge side of a screw rotor has a pressure distribution in a circumferential direction.SOLUTION: A screw compressor is equipped with a screw rotor composed of a rotor portion and a shaft portion 23; a casing which has a shaft hole 53a in which the shaft portion is inserted, and stores the screw rotor; and a discharge side shaft seal portion which seals the leakage of working fluid from a clearance G2 between the shaft portion and the shaft hole 5. The discharge side shaft seal portion has an annular groove portion 71 provided on the shaft portion; a seal ring 72 which is disposed in the annular groove portion so as to move in an axial direction of the shaft portion 23, and can slide and contact with the shaft hole and side wall surfaces 77 and 78 of the annular groove portion; and a shaft seal fluid supply path 63 which communicates with the shaft hole and supplies a fluid into either one of axial directions of the seal ring. The pressure of the fluid supplied to one of the axial directions of the seal ring through the shaft seal fluid supply path is set to be higher than pressure acting on the other of the axial directions.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
