The screw conveying device 1 for conveying a fluid material (G) conveyed from an introduction opening 3 to a discharging outlet 4 includes a cylindrical casing 2 in which the introduction opening 3 and the discharging outlet 4 are formed, a screw 5 rotatably disposed in the cylindrical casing 2 through a pivotally supporting member 6, and a drive device 80 for driving the screw 5. The pivotally supporting member 6 is disposed at one end of the cylindrical casing 2 while supporting one end of the screw 5. The other end of the screw 5 is supported by a sliding contact member 8 disposed along an inner circumference 2a of the cylindrical casing 2 that approaches or comes in slide-contact with an outer circumference 5c of the screw 5 and rotatably supports the screw 5.
