To establish a screw-conveying machine and its control method which can convey a pulverized/granular substance while blow-back is prevented certainly.
A screw-conveying machine comprises a screw feeder 11 in communication with a hopper opened to the atmosphere and equipped with a space to form air-tight part in the front, an open chamber 12 leading to the discharge port 16a of the screw feeder 11, an ejector part 13 coupled with the lower part of the open chamber 12, and a resistance plate 14 confronting the discharge port 16a within the open chamber 12 and given an always constant repulsive force, wherein airtight part S consisting of a compressed body of pulverized/granular substance is formed in the mentioned space in cooperation with the screw feeder 11. A repulsive force energizing device 15 is provided which allows the pulverized/granular substance to flow out into the open chamber 12 continuously from the gap between the resistance plate 14 and the discharge port 16a by retreating the plate 14 to the extension line of the axis of screw feeder 11.
