Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a screw conveyor capable of conveying powder/grain smoothly so as to improve conveying capacity by jointing a flange part, formed at the end part of each rotary shaft of unit length, to a flange part formed at the end part of an adjacent rotary shaft to extend successively without joints.
CONSTITUTION: Rotary shafts 32, 32,... of unit length disposed in the pipeline 5 of a screw conveyor device 30 are successively jointed into a long size by bolts 38 after making flanges 34, 36, formed at the respective upper end lower end parts, butt each other. The flange 34 formed at the upper end part of the rotary shaft 32 is formed into such tapered shape that the path is enlarged toward the conveyed direction of powder/grain. The pitch L between screw blades 1, 1 at a joint part can be thereby made short, and the powder/grain in the process of conveyance in the pipeline 5 can be conveyed smoothly without the increase of conveying resistance at the joint parts of the rotary shafts 32, 32. The early wear of a bearing 40 caused by the powder/grain can be also prevented so as to lengthen a service life.
