Abstract:
To improve operability of a screw fastener.SOLUTION: A screw fastener includes a motor, an output shaft which rotates with motive power transmitted from the motor, and a tool holding device for holding a tip tool inserted in an insertion hole of the output shaft. The tool holding device includes: a lock member supported by the output shaft and movable between a locked position at which the tip tool is locked and a released position at which the tip tool is unlocked; a first elastic member for generating elastic force to move the lock member to the locked position; a sleeve movable between an inhibiting position at which movement of the lock member to the outer side in the radial direction is inhibited and a permitting position at which movement to the outer side in the radial direction is permitted around the output shaft; a second elastic member for generating the elastic force so that the sleeve moves to the inhibiting position; and a positioning member fixed to an outer surface of the output shaft and positioning the sleeve at the inhibition position. In a cross section parallel to an axis of rotation of the output shaft, a contact surface of the positioning member which makes contact with the sleeve is a curved surface.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
