PURPOSE: To cool efficiently cooling water with a simple construction by covering the circumference of a screw rotatably driven by a water cooled engine with a water jacket and connecting the water jacket to a cooling water circulation system of the water cooled engine.
CONSTITUTION: When a water cooled engine 7 is run, a screw pump 1 is rotated with reduced speed so that water in a suction water tank 16 is pumped into a drain path 17 by a screw 2. Engine cooling water is circulated at the same time in a cooling water circulation system 13 by a water pump 13a attached to the engine. Since the circumference of the screw 2 is covered with a water jacket 8, high temperature cooling water introduced from a second circulation path 13C into a single body 8a of the water jacket then exchanges heat with water pumped by the 2 from a suction water tank 16 in the drain path 17 to be effectively cooled when the high temperature cooling water is brought out of the single body 8C. Low temperature cooling water sufficiently cooled is thus introduced in a third circulation path 13D.
