Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a screw shaft which achieves compactification even if multiple ball rolling grooves having different leads are formed in the screw shaft.SOLUTION: A screw shaft 1 of the invention includes: a screw shaft body 2; a first rolling element rolling groove 2a which is formed on an outer peripheral surface of the screw shaft body 2 and has a first lead and a spiral shape, the first rolling element rolling groove 2a on which first rolling elements 3a roll; a second rolling element rolling groove 2b which is formed on an outer peripheral surface of the screw shaft body 2 and has a second lead different from the first lead and a spiral shape, the second rolling element rolling groove 2b on which second rolling elements 3b roll; and an intersection part 2c where the first rolling element rolling groove 2a intersects with the second rolling element rolling groove 2b.
