Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a screw thread corrector which has a high ability to correct screw threads and allows easy correction of the screw thread, even when a screw to be corrected which has a large pitch and a large screw thread is subjected to correction, without requiring technical skill.SOLUTION: A screw thread corrector 1 comprises: a screw thread correction blade 8 having a correction blade 9 which has the same shape as that between screw threads of a screw to be corrected and includes two points of an edge 10 formed on the same straight line and meshing with a screw groove of the screw to be corrected; and abutting means 3 for sandwiching the screw to be corrected between the screw thread correction blade 8 and itself by abutting on the screw to be corrected. An angle at which the screw thread correction blade 8 meshes with the screw groove of the screw to be corrected can be adjusted according to a lead angle of the screw to be corrected, by arranging the screw thread correction blade 8 or the abutting means 3 in a rotatable manner around the axis orthogonal to the central axis of the screw to be corrected. A damaged screw thread can be corrected by rotating the screw to be corrected or the screw thread corrector 1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
