Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a screw thread corrector which has a high ability to correct screw threads and allows easy correction of the screw thread, even when a screw to be corrected which has a large pitch and a large screw thread is subjected to correction, without requiring technical skill.SOLUTION: A screw thread corrector 9 is obtained by rotatably and displaceably combining two screw thread correctors as one set. A damage part 20 of a screw thread of a screw 14 to be corrected can be corrected to an original position by: meshing all the four points of correction blades 22 of screw thread correction blades integrally provided in the screw thread corrector 9 with screw grooves in a valley of the screw 14 to be corrected by sandwiching both sides of the screw 14 to be corrected with the screw thread corrector 9; fixing a position and angle of the screw thread corrector 9 relative to the screw 14 to be corrected with an angle fixing nut 11; and then pushing back and plastically deforming the damage part 20 with side surface parts of the correction blades 22 of the screw thread correction blades meshed with screw grooves on both sides of the screw 14 to be corrected by rotating the screw 14 to be corrected or the screw thread corrector 9.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
