Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a screw thread trimming device which is compact and low-cost more than the conventional.SOLUTION: In a screw thread trimming device 10 of the invention, a trimming tool 40 is supported as capable of straight moving, a blade tip 51 facing to the peripheral velocity direction V is provided at the cutting blade 50 of the trimming tool 40, and a workpiece contact plane 54 is provided which contacts to a workpiece male screw part 91 at a position near the center of the workpiece male screw part 91 more than the blade tip 51 at the opposite side of the scooping surface 52 while sandwiching the blade tip 51. Thus, the blade tip 51 cuts into the position apart from the center of the workpiece male screw part 91 from the contact position between the workpiece contact plane 54 and the workpiece male screw part 91 of the screw thread 92, and a part of the screw thread 92 is cut as relative rotation proceeds, the workpiece contact plane 54 rides on the cutting-remained part of the screw thread 92, and the blade tip 51 moves to the side further apart from the center of the workpiece male screw part 91.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
