Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent empty bottles carried into at irregular intervals from falling down or being damaged, while being arrayed at preset intervals, even on stopping shocks when the device is stopped.
SOLUTION: A screw type conveying device 10 comprises a frame 12, a preceding-stage screw 14 rotatably supported by the frame 12, a following-stage screw 16 also rotatably supported by the frame 12, a clutch/brake device 18 and encoders 20 and 21. The encoder 20 is for detecting the rotational angular position of the preceding-stage screw 14, while the encoder 21 is for detecting the rotational angular position of the following-stage screw 16. The following- stage screw 16 is rotated by a drive shaft 22 and a timing belt 24. The preceding-stage screw 14 is, however, controlled for or against rotation by the clutch/brake device 18 that is adapted to be engaged with or disengaged form the drive shaft 22, a driven shaft 23 and a timing belt 26.
