Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a screw type steam machine including a shaft seal structure capable of preventing leaked steam from intruding into a lubricating oil chamber regardless of the pressure of steam which is a handling fluid.SOLUTION: The screw type steam compressor 1 includes a screw rotor 3 stored in a rotor chamber 5 formed in a housing 2 and compressing steam, and a first annular seal member 6, a second annular seal member 7, and a third annular seal member 8 disposed aligned in order from the rotor chamber 5 side toward the lubricating oil chamber 23 side between the rotor chamber 5 and the lubricating oil chamber 23. A first hole 15 communicating with a first seal space 11 between the first annular seal member 6 and the second annular seal member 7, and a second hole 16 communicating with a second seal space 12 between the second annular seal member 7 and the third annular seal member 8 are formed in the housing 2. A condenser 9 is installed in the first hole 15 and the second hole 16 is opened to the atmosphere.
