Abstract:
To provide a screw capable of reducing the torque by optimizing the performance of discharging chips of wood when screwed in.SOLUTION: A screw has a head 2 and a screw body 3, which comprises a shank 31 extending along a prescribed axis Z from the head and a drill bit 32 at a tip of the shank 31. The screw body 3 is provided with a screw thread 4 projecting helically, and multiple chip discharge grooves 5. Each chip discharge groove 5 is inclined at an angle in the range from 5 degrees to 35 degrees relative to the axis Z.
