Abstract:
To provide a script feeding device which can correct platen mis-position due to overload, etc.SOLUTION: The script feeding device includes: elevating means for raising and lowering a platen; first detection means for detecting that the platen is located at a home position which is the origin of the elevating operation; second detection means for detecting whether or not a script is loaded on the platen; taking-in means for taking in the script on the top surface; third detection means for detecting that the script on the top surface has risen to a position where it can be taken in; and control means for counting drive amounts driven by the elevating means for the platen and controlling the elevating operation of the elevating means based on the count value while holding the elevation amount from the home position as the count value. The control means causes the elevating means to raise the platen while the third detection means does not detect scripts. With the count value out of the default normal range, when the second detection means no longer detects scripts, the platen is lowered to the home position based on the detection result of the first detection means.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
