A scroll compressor 1 is provided with a sealed container 2 formed in such a cylindrical shape that both ends are closed. An electrically driven element 3 and a scroll compressing element 4 driven by the electrically driven element 3 are housed in the sealed container 2. Lubricating oil (b) is stored in the sealed container 2 to a prescribed level, and is sucked from an oil introducing pipe 20 of a differential oiling part 19 by a differential pressure. And then, the lubricating oil (b) is supplied to a sliding part including a bearing part 9 via an oil passage 25 in a rotary shaft 7, and is used while circulating. Gas sealing is performed interposing a seal member 28 between an end part of a rotary shaft 7 and an auxiliary bearing part 21. It is thus possible to perform a stable operation for a long period, and it is also possible to improve reliability.
