To provide a scroll compressor constituted at a low cost and suitably regulating the pressure in a back pressure chamber.
A housing 11 is disposed with the back pressure chamber 16 in the side of a rear surface 65a of a base plate 65 of a movable scroll member 45. The back pressure chamber 16 is dividedly formed between the movable scroll member 45 and a center frame 31 provided in the housing 11. The back pressure chamber 16 and compressor chambers 47A and 47B on the way to compression are connected together via an introduction passage 76. The movable scroll member 45 is provided with a seal member 75 sealing the back pressure chamber 16 by being slidable to the central frame 31. In the seal member 75, a part of the sealing function is reduced so that the back pressure chamber 16 and a suction chamber 51 are connected via the function lowered part 75a.
