To provide a scroll compressor pumping up lubricating oil residing at a bottom part of a suction chamber and moving the same to a compression chamber with coolant gas and effectively using the same.
This electric compressor is constructed by putting a part of an outer circumference surface 28f of a base plate 28a of a movable scroll member 28 close to an inner circumference surface 24i of an outer circumference wall 24b of a fixed scroll member 24 with a minute gap and forming a seal part S. A pump chamber 55 for lubricating oil is formed in an upper side of the seal part S and the seal part S moves along the inner circumference surface 24i by rotation of the movable scroll member 28. Lubricating oil residing at a bottom part of the suction chamber 33 is pumped up and is supplied to the compression chamber 30 constructed by both scroll wall 24c, 28b from an upper part of the suction chamber 33.
