Abstract:
To provide a scroll compressor in which floating failure of a tip seal due to thermal expansion of the tip seal or swelling of the resin is inhibited.
In the scroll compressor 10, tip seals 30 are interposed, being disposed on a contact surface of a movable-side spiral 19a opposing to a stationary scroll 20, and on a contact surface of a stationary-side spiral 20a opposing to a movable scroll 19, via tip-seal grooves 30m. This compressor is constituted such that a clearance CL in a width direction between the tip seal 30 and the tip-seal groove 30m at the starting end of winding, which is a spiral center, is expanded larger than a clearance CL in a width direction between the tip seal 30 and the tip-seal groove 30m at the other portion.
