Abstract:

To provide a scroll compressor capable of improving strength in the winding end of a wrap and in addition achieving the miniaturization of compression mechanism.

The wrap 26b of a movable scroll 26 has a spiral shape in which the base-circle radius of an involute decreases with increase of a winding angle in the section of the wrap which extends from the starting point of winding to an intermediate portion thereof. Also, in the section of the wrap which extends from the intermediate portion to the end point of the winding thereof, the wrap 26b of the movable scroll 26 has another spiral shape in which the base-circle radius of the involute is greater than the minimum value thereof.
