PURPOSE: To improve the sealing performance and the life by tilting the end face of each tooth in the direction separating from a bottom face from the low pressure side to the high pressure side in the plane perpendicular to the tooth side face and tooth space bottom face, and forming a projection to be inserted into a recess formed on the tooth end face and a tilt face corresponding to the end face inclination on the face of the tip seal facing this end face.

CONSTITUTION: The end face 14 of each spiral tooth 5 of a fixed scroll and a revolving scroll is tilted in the direction separating from a bottom face 16 from the low pressure side L to the high pressure side H in the plane perpendicular to the teeth side face and the bottom face 16 of the tooth space 15. Recesses 17 are formed at a proper interval along the longitudinal direction of the end face 14. A tip seal 18 having a tilt face 20 with the same inclination as the end face 14 and projections 19 to be inserted into the recesses 17 is provided between the end face 14 and the bottom face 16. Even if the tip seal 18 is abraded, it functions like a wedge, and it is closely stuck to the end face 14 and the bottom face 16 by the pressure difference between the high pressure side H and the low pressure side L to maintain the sealing performance.
