PURPOSE: To reduce a slide loss of a bearing and prevent seizure thereof so as to improve performance of a scroll compressor by splitting and connecting a crankshaft connected to an eccentric shaft inserted into a turning scroll to an electric motor shaft for driving the crankshaft via a shaft coupling.

CONSTITUTION: A slide bearing is used as a turning bearing 311 disposed at the center of a turning scroll 6 housed inside a sealed container 2 and disposed facing to a fixed scroll 5. Roller bearings having an automatic aligning function of high durability are provided in an auxiliary bearing 32 for supporting an extended shaft center part 14a and a main bearing 40 on a frame side, respectively, in such a manner as to hold the turning bearing 31. Accordingly, it is possible to reduce partial contact or frictional resistance. Meanwhile, a thrust bearing 33 serving as a bearing in the thrust direction for supporting a crankshaft 14 is disposed at the lower end of the extended shaft center part 14a. Furthermore, the crankshaft 14 is split and connected to an electric motor shaft 15 for driving the crankshaft 14 via a shaft coupling (pin) 51. Consequently, it is possible to reduce a slide loss of the bearing and prevent seizure.
