Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively operate a scroll compressor throughout a wide range from a low capacity to a high capacity by variable speed. SOLUTION: In this scroll compressor, the basic blades 21a, 31a of a fixed scroll 20 and a revolving scroll 30, have the scroll length satisfying a specific compression ratio in a low speed driving area, at least one of the basic blades 21a, 31a comprises the spiral extension blades 21b, 31b further extended from the scroll end position, and at least one of the inner walls of the extension blades 21b, 31b and the outer walls of the blades 21, 31 opposite to the extension blades 21b, 31b, are displaced in a direction for thinning the thickness of the blades 21, 31 to enlarge an interval therebetween.
