Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scroll control system for a picture display system with which a graphic in a view port area (V area) displayed on a screen can be easily scrolled through simple operation by moving the V area on a graphic area.
SOLUTION: This system scrolls a graphic 11 in the V area displayed on a screen 7 by moving the V area on the graphic area under the control of a scroll control means 4 corresponding to the operation of a mouse 1 or a keyboard 2. Then, knob parts 52, 53, 52' and 53' are displayed at both ends of sliders 17 and 21 inside horizontal and vertical scroll bars 12 and 13, which are displayed on the picture 11 by the means 4, by a means 50 and when the knob parts 52, 53, 52' and 53' of the sliders 17 and 21 positioned at the ends of the bars 12 and 13 as the moving limit of the V area are dragged by the mouse 1, a means 51 performs control for further moving the sliders 17 and 21 rather than the ends.
