An outer peripheral coating layer 17 is formed on the outer peripheral surface 4B of the wrap portion 4 of the fixed scroll 2, and an inner peripheral coating layer 18 is formed on the inner peripheral surface 4A of the wrap portion 4. The coating layers 17, 18 each comprise contact portions 17A, 18A that make contact with the mating wrap portion 13, and non-contact portions 17B, 18B that do not make contact with the mating wrap portion 13. In this way, the degree of hermeticity of the compression chamber 14 can be enhanced by the contact portions 17A, 18A, and also power loss can be prevented by the non-contact portions 17B, 18B.
