PURPOSE: To reduce the size of a compressor by inserting the main shaft through a through-hole of a front end plate then fixing a sleeve which is supporting a pulley through a bearing to said main shaft.

CONSTITUTION: The main shaft 13 is inserted through a through-hole 111 in a front end plate 11, then an amarture plate 24 is fixed to the tip of said main shaft 13 which will support a sleeve 17 fixed to said plate 11 by means of a screw 18 through a bearing 19 and a pulley 22 is fixed through a bearing 21 to said sleeve 17. Consequently the mechanical strength of said sleeve 17 isn't required to be increased and the sleeve 17 can be made thin, thereby the size of the scroll type compressor can be reduced.
